The Smart service has been designed to remove from a user the burden of implementing and managing a modern practice management system. The general principle adopted throughout is of simplifying the whole process wherever possible.
As a result, the Smart system is delivered to a customer with all necessary equipment, software and communications ready for connection to a firm's existing personal computers.
The system is delivered with a set of default parameters and standard codes such as work types, disbursement types, source of introduction and address types etc. are pre-set. To add to or amend the codes and parameters is a simple and quick task.
For those firms not wishing to add to or amend the initial set up Smart is delivered ready to go!
Real time reports can be requested for matter and time ledgers, billing guides, client matter labels and bank reconciliation reports. Other routine reports are scheduled to run automatically. Facilities to automatically print cheques directly from the system are also available. All functions concerned with the day to day management of the system will be performed by Miles 33 including the carrying out of daily on and off site security back ups.
Firms are thus left with only the responsibility for control over their accounting functions and input of their data and can thus utilise the features of the latest in practice management systems to help manage their business better without the need to concern themselves with the technology.
